Alphabetize previous assessments in Assessments screen?
Hello,
Say you want to select a previous assessment from the assessments screen for a pt, when you click on previous assessments, it displays all their previous dx, but it doesn’t seem like it follows any rhyme or reason. It would be a lot easier to select a previous dx if they were at least alphabetized, but I’m not sure of the order they’re listed exactly, it doesn’t even seem they’re listed by date of previous dx. Any way to at least alphabetize this list maybe?

11E Document Management - Fillable Forms and Electronic Signatures

We went live with 10e in Jan 2018 and upgraded to 11e in April 2018. We are exclusively web client users. Since our implementation, neither eCW, Topaz or Scriptel can show us how we can efficiently manage forms in eCW, whereby we can auto-populate standard consent forms and have patients e-sign them. The current process with Scriptel pads is cumbersome and inefficient, and we also ruled out Topaz pads. We’ve revered back to printing forms and scanning, which flat out stinks. eCW has yet to provide a viable solution other than continuing to offer ecliniforms, which do not allow for any fillable fields (check boxes, radio buttons, free-text text fields).
Question is what are other 11e sites doing? Has anyone been able to go paperless on 11e with e-signature pad products or third party solutions?
Would appreciate your feedback.

Immunizations - No Matching NDC
Has anyone else had difficulty mapping current NDCs to vaccine lots?
We just upgraded to V11 and our nurses are having difficulty with inventory management because the appropriate NDC is not listed in the eCW lookup. I ran the content distribution and compared the list of NDCs imported to the CDC list and none of the NDCs from the CDC matched those of eCW’s content distribution.
We have a case open, but no information so far…what have others done?

Are there any other customers that are running ECW on VMware Horizon View?
We are using VMware View 6.0 with Imprivata to provide us with Single Sign On capabilities with our VMware Virtual Desktops. We are having some issues when users roam their desktop sessions from PC to PC and ECW is open and running.
If there are other people out there using ECW in a VMware View environment with roaming desktops with no issues, I would love to hear from you. So far, all other applications installed inside the VDI desktops have performed great except for ECW. This has been a thorn in our side for some time now.
Process for E Prescriptions for Narcotics
In V10, we had a workflow where our LPN’s and MA’ were able to do research on a Narcotic and then deny it via a telephone encounter and forward to prescriber. That workflow automatically created a telephone encounter for the prescriber to work.
In V11, they are unable to Deny RX with new Rx to follow, but they can Deny the prescription….
This process causes us to create a new Telephone encounter in order to prescribe the medication.
Not sure if I am stating this correctly..but I am interpreting what one of my practice cites.
How is everyone else doing this functionality in V11

V11 - Scheduler bug and Specialty form Web App Plugin bug
We recently took the big leap of jumping on the V11 bandwagon. So far most issues have been resolved.
Our two present issues are:
- Scheduler bug - we setup well-defined schedules (ie max number of patients per slot, etc); in eCW Desktop, anytime anyone tries to update the Appointment (Visit Status, Billing Notes, etc), it would complain we are trying to schedule improperly. This has forced some users to use eCW Web app.
- Specialty Forms - we have a couple of specialty forms that we consistently use; for some reason, if we use eCW Plugin mode to view Specialty forms in Scanned docs, the Specialty forms will display incorrectly. The eCW Scanned docs’s web mode and the eCW Desktop work fine.
Questions:
Is anyone face these issues? Any resolutions? I’ve already sent some tickets but no results yet.
V11e Speed
We have the fastest internet that Charter offers (we can’t afford fiber). We have an updated modem.
V11e runs very slowly, hangs up, and crashes.
I use it at times because there are some features I like. The bells and whistles aren’t worth all the headaches
it brings. I find myself going back and forth to the EXE v11.
My staff will not use the 11e. This “upgrade” has
been hard on morale. We are worn out from malfunctions, tickets, and excuuses.
Any suggestions to speed it up would be appreciated.
Limiting Hub access
The HUB has a large menu organized as buttons and others such as drop down access. These are exclusive to HUB such as Fax log (for the particular patient), Account Inquiry, share by P2P, Action, etc. Since I upgraded to Version 11. If I have the hub open create a TE and then when I try to open another HUB to check on a different function such as Account Inquiry, Referrals, Fax Log, Billing alert the ecw support refuses to allow me view the HUB with a message popping up saying that I can’t open another instance!
Due to this I am not able to quickly check on the patient details at various areas. It has affected workflow and slowing me down. When I called ecw support to disable this warning, was told that it can not be done. Has anybody else noticed this and how do you feel about this backward step in functionality?
Please feel free to chime in so that ecw reconsiders this change and brings back the functionality of being able to open multple instances of HUB or create a workaround by offering these menu items easily accessible in different windows.
Medication List
Is there a way in Current Medications List that duplicates of these medications or generic/brand can be grouped together or alphabetized? Patients will long medications lists have duplicates and this could be a patient safety issue per one provider in my practice. I know in the right chart panel, you can group by date or medication. Any solutions to this?
Diagnosis specific alert - smoking
is there a way to create a diagnosis specific alert based upon a group of diagnosis. EG: active smoker- F17.200 , and ex smoker F17.211 for annual screening lung CT alert between ages 55-80?
Real Time Prescription Price Transparency
Hi,
I have seen updates from other EMRs that they have partnered with SureScripts to offer real time prescription pricing to providers. According to the article I read, eCW may have partnered as well? Is anyone aware of a tool available in eCW that offers prescription pricing at the time of ordering? Is “GoodRx” eCW version of this? Anyone using?

2019 MIPS/PI Requirements - force V11 Upgrade
I haven’t seen this brought up but. If you are a part of MIPS, which I assume a vast majority of us are the new requirements mandate a 2015 CEHRT be used for at least the 90 day reporting period. V11 is the only eCW version compliant which forces us to upgrade. V11 is new and hasn’t had the best reviews. We are just fine on our current version and aren’t looking forward to this update.
Anyone have any insight on this, maybe they’ll make a newer version of 10e 2015 certified? I can see a giant influx of clinics upgrading second and third quarter of 2019 causing major headaches at eCW.
I would speculate maybe 10% of eCW’s client base is using V11, probably less?
Stop script errors on Telephone Encounters
Does anyone face numerous stop script errors in the Telephone Encounters? Some days its 1 and other days its 20. As far as we can see, its random.
V11 Patches
Hi,
Has anyone else received the patch for V11 EXE (Consolidated Sec Patch for Version 11)??
We are told it “is important that we apply these patches immediately” and then are given a list of 15 things to test after installing the patch. This is a little scary! Especially because we have asked ECW what this patch is changing or what it is for and nobody seems to want to divulge that information. Basically just install the patch and hope for the best.
I am so hoping someone else on V11 EXE can tell me what this patch entails and share anything that will help us pre-patch installation.

P2P Failing
Is anyone else having problems with P2P? Around January 31st, any referral that we send internally to a specialist on the same database fails. If we send externally to another P2P client or using Direct Addresses, the referral shows as successful. Also, on January 31st, we are no longer receiving P2P Patient Records (we used to receive numerous CCDs a day from our hospital, Walgreens, CVS, Express Scripts). And finally, around January 31st, a couple of our providers are no longer able to see any direct addresses in the lookup when attempting to send a referral.
Anyone else having this issue?
System-wide default for progress note lock style?
Is there a way to make everyones default set to lock notes in Modern II Style? Or can this only be done in a user’s setting?
Provider Burnout…EMR shortcuts and tricks
I have a meeting with my providers in a couple weeks and I’m trying to compile some shortcuts, tips, tricks to help them thru their days. Below are just a few complaints/questions they specifically mentioned this year…but any helpful hints would be appreciated.
Reduce # of clicks….where can we do this?
Ordering oxygen supplies…currently they hand write on the vendor form.
SOAP Treatment plan navigation?
Referrals made on Telephone Encounters, the referral can’t be reopened directly from within TE, it’s extra clicks
Expired labs…what is your process?
Updating med list from ER via TE…multiple steps, can we make this faster
Red Exclamation mark…I would love a thorough document that clearly explains this to providers in their language.
