We’re attempting to link our dental imaging programs (Romexis and Apixia) with eCW. I’ve checked compatibility and everything is good to go there, but the eCW tech remoting in to link is completely incapable of linking the programs, running into issues that take hours to resolve. Has anyone has these links done before? Any info is appreciated

ECW SLOW despite fast internet connection
We saw significantly slowed performance after we made the mistake of taking ECW from the office out to the cloud. Somehow, developed patience for the slowness and got used to it. Lately ECW has been much slower. Each click is followed by a 3 to 5 second pause to the next screen or task. It is PAINFUL. It takes several minutes to accomplish a simple task as prescribing one drug or ordering lab tests. I hope some day we will be set free of using clunky EMRs and go down to simple charting or have better AI solutions.
Signing without Locking?
Does anyone have alternative for a physician to “sign” the note without actually locking it?
We have been contacted by BCBS that all notes need to be signed in 24-48 hours. Our current workflow has the billers assigning the note to the physician for locking (signing) once they are done with validation. This usually occurs within 72 hours but sometimes it may be a week. We can change the workflow to comply but wondering if there is an easier way.
Just curious how everyone else is handling this issue
Thank you
Office 365 & eCW
Is anyone successfully using Office 365 with eCW (i.e. running letters) with no desktop office installed?
11e – Common Send Window Changing the Pharmacy
Scenario: Provider prescribes multiple medications for a patient. Before sending the scripts, the provider verifies the pharmacy and patient decides to have them sent to a different pharmacy. This pharmacy has not been added as a pharmacy in patient info.
Is there a way to change the pharmacy in the Common Send window which applies that change to all prescriptions like in exe?
If the pharmacy is added in the pt info window, a provider can choose it from the Patient Pharmacy drop down and click Apply to Selected.
I have not been able to figure out how to choose a new pharmacy while in this window and it applies to all prescriptions.
This has been a frustration for our providers.
Fingers crossed, I am just overlooking how to do this
Thank you for any help -
Natalie
Covid Diagnosis
Hi,
I am unable to find Icd10 for covid U07.1 How I am supposed to add the diagnosis?
Connection Reset error
Within the past few weeks, we have started to get random ‘Connection Reset’ error boxes popping up. Most of the time, they are benign and we can just press ‘OK’ and no harm done. However, if we get these while working on a MODI drawing, we lose any work done. The error is not related to MODI because it happens at random times, doing different tasks. I believe it has happened in other areas of the application (entering insurance companies, etc), but we notice it most when working on drawings because of the data loss.
Has anyone else experienced this issue or know the cause? I believe it only started happening after our latest eCW cloud application update. I think we are on V11.40.23.15
By the way, how do you check the current installed build on the EXE? Did I forget how, or was it removed from the Help/About dialog?
Thanks,
Greg
TeleVisits in 11e
We are currently working in Version 11 EXE and have heard that if we use the browser version we no longer need to use the Healow Agent. eCW has said that the TeleVisits are more reliable and providers have a better experience in that version, do any practices using 11e have input on this?
Did any other practices also have to purchase a SSL certificate to be able to launch the “TV” button?
Thanks!
Cloud questions
I am considering moving from a locally hosted server to the cloud and have some basic questions. I am a solo physician and know very little about tech, so appreciate any and all suggestions. Here are my concerns?
1) Does the cloud go down very often? If so- how often and on average for how long?
2) Is it noticeably slower?
3) Is support better?
4) Does moving to the cloud affect my integrated local labs and diagnostic imaging services?
5) I have heard that you need two internet providers, is that true?
6) Do I need any special hardware? (such as a VPN connection?)
7) Browsing the forum, I notice people mention billing as a concern. How does going to the cloud affect the billing portion of eCW?
8) How smooth is the transition? Will I need to hire someone with experience in moving eCW specifically to the cloud?
9) Are there a lot of bugs that need to be fixed when you initially move to the cloud? (When I first purchased eCW in 2011 I had a support person who had implemented new clients before and knew what bugs to fix right away and how to set things up correctly. I don’t know who to hire for that kind of thing now.)
10) What happens to your data if you go out of business/retire?
11) Is it very expensive?
Thanks in advance

New header on locked progress notes?
When locking progress notes today, I noticed a new header of patient demographics that is appearing on the locked note.
Is this optional and if so how do I remove it?
Seems redundant.
HIE/eHX Module
Is anyone using this in eCW? There is no documentation on the portal and a search here doesn’t yield much information. eCW sent us documentation and it was from V8.0. It was dated 2016 and I couldn’t help but laugh.
I’m not sure I understand the difference between this and the interoperability hub. The document they sent requires every single patient to opt in or out once they arrive. Every single one. We’re also about to implement kiosks so I’m not sure how the opt in/out question will work with those. eCW said they don’t have anyone utilizing the kiosks and eHX.
How slow is eclinicalworks compared to other EMRs you have used? What is normal slowness?
We have fiber with pretty fast speed (470mbps/59)
Our computers are fast with other programs running super fast.
I am just trying to figure out what is considered normal for eclinicalworks speed. I would like to hear experiences with how long it takes between you can go from one click to another. Like writing a prescription, you click on the name of the drug, wait 5-6 sec, then enter the dose, wait 5-6 sec, then enter the route, wait 5-6 sec, then enter the directions, wait 5-6 sec, then enter the days, wait 5-6 sec, then the number of tablets, wait 5-6 sec, then the number of refills, wait 5-6 sec. This is the same when ordering labs, writing notes, anything in ecw.
Is this normal for everyone?? WHAT IS NORMAL?
Whether you are using Exe or Browser??
And if you have used other EMRs, is this normal everywhere else??
“Package Not Enabled” in Right Chart Panel
In version 11, does everyone’s Overview tab of the Right Chart Panel look like this- with HCC RAF Scores- Package Not Enabled and HCC Gap Recommendations- Package Not Enabled appearing ABOVE Current Medications and Allergies (see attached)? If so, seems like a marketing technique with implications for patient safety, putting relevant info on medications and allergies underneath an alert that we having paid for a feature. At the very least it could be collapsed with no info in it, just the heading.
Problem List Training Guide
Does anyone have a good training guide on Problem List for clinical staff?
“Ink” feature in patient docs
We’re on version 11.40 and when we click Ink in patient docs multiple error messages pop up. eCW installed a newer version of “ink” onto my local computer and it worked. Their solution is for us to do this for all of our local computers, roughly 150. We don’t have the infrastructure in place for mass installs like roaming profiles so this would have to be done per computer.
I think we’re getting the run around or maybe our current version has a bug? Does anyone have a newer version where this feature is working? Thank you
MIPS Patch 8312 has broken our faxing. Anyone else have this problem
MIPS Patch 8312 “server Only V11.40.23.19 MIPS.
After applying this update, our faxes are incorrectly displaying the patient identifier over the body of the fax, not at the top.
eCW says it;s a known bug and are working on a fix???
Thanks
Steve
Dragon Medical One
For those that have moved to Dragon Medical One, could you provide some feedback? Currently we have a Scribe/Nuance issue after receiving an update on April 1st. We have a jumping cursor issue, when you stop dictating, and start again, the new text will be placed into the previous sentence. After almost two months of battling, it is a Nuance issue with the edit controls. They said that it mostly likely will not be fixed due to the location of the coding. An option for us is to move to the web version of eCW sooner that planned, or get Dragon Medical One. We also have server syncing issues from 5 different office locations that would go away with the DMO. There are a lot of other issues as well such as corrupt profiles, disc space issues, and more. I just wanted to see if anyone loved it or hated it. I heard of another practice having connectivity issues with the DMO, but that was about it.
Patient Portal Questionnaires
Hi All,
We recently received complaints that old questionnaires are appearing in the Patient Portal. I’ve check the Portal configuration and cannot figure out how an old questionnaire appears (even though the patient cannot access it).
Attached is screenshot and you can see the old one defaults into the first tab and the correct one is in the second tab. Patients are getting confused and not completing the questionnaires prior.
Has anyone else seen this?
Thanks,
Allen

Script errors in Med Reconciliation after update
Is anyone else experiencing script errors in the Medication Reconciliation when adding a new med, after the upgrade? If we get out of the Med Rec and back in , it will allow us to add the med.
