Has anyone scanned their application event logs on their workstations the have the executable version of ECW for ID 26 and found PHI information being stored on their workstations? I have a powershell script that will scan all your workstations, record the event and spit out the information into an excel file. you can then scan over the events and check your workstations. I am having this issue and ECW is trying to tell me it is our machines, and not their application.
I would like to learn if your organization is experiencing the same issue. I would encourage you to scan your application logs for event 26 and carefully examine them. Please let me know if you find PHI.
FYI, this doesn’t happen on all of our machines, and its very random.
