We finally received our new portal login screen this morning. We are extremely disappointed that it still does not provide the patient the correct criteria for the password requirements. We receive several complaints weekly! Patients are quite upset that it doesn’t mention that the password cannot start with a number or special character, and that a password needs a number and special character. The guidelines tell them a number OR special character. I’ve spoken with patients who have spent 30+ minutes trying to create a password, and we can help them within a few seconds by telling them what the guidelines are missing for info. I wonder if we need to wait months for another portal upgrade for something that seems so simple. We will update our internet portal landing page tomorrow with the guidelines and hope that patients see this before attempting to create a password.
