We have a Physician who is being auto-assigned to co-sign/review progress notes for an NP when the appointment is created. The Physician is not currently listed as the NP’s supervisor (was about 3 years ago, but NP has moved to a different facility and a different supervising physician was assigned).
We do not have anything setup in ‘Management Oversight Physicians’ so it’s not there. It seems to be completely random; not the same encounter code, insurance, new patients, previous patients, different staff creating the appointment. We’ve looked everywhere we can think of; provider numbers, registration rules, provider set up, insurance setup, etc.
Does anybody know where else a configuration to auto-assign a provider for co-sign/review on new appointment creation may be located?
(...and yes eCW monitoring team, we do have case created but no resolution as of yet. No need to call me. )
