Recently when I had a couple doctors appoint, one on athena and one with EPIC. I was asked to complete my own guided HPI. I was given a laptop and said yes or no to to several questions about my acute low back pain and headache. IT was great and efficient. their EHR asked ME location, onset, type, frequency, radiation, duration, aggravating and alleviating symptoms. Simple, fast and when I saw the doctor, my answers were in his HPI section of the note. Their MA cleanup and asked a few additional questions which she manually entered into HPI but essentially when the doctor walked in he was able to move straight to the exam and rx and treatment discussion.
How are people doing this with ECW. in 15 years I haven’t found an efficient clean, patient friendly solution to this. I feel like finding a 3rd party HPI collecting solution
