Any suggestions or experience with doing this in ECW?
This has been a gross issue with this EMR from day#1-the lack of any field/pop-up to identify clinical issues that need to be followed from visit to visit.
For example, if I ask a patient back to follow-up BP, adrenal mass identified on CT, change in sleeping med, usually I have to dig thru the last note and try to figure out what I changed/why I asked the patient to come back to the office.
Yes, there are “actions” and “alerts”-but these are clumsy to create, do not appear automatically with the new encounter, and are very awkwardly formatted (a plethora of distracting fields). I enter most clinical decision making in “Assesment” or “Treatment” but, of course, this does not carry over to the next “chief complaint”.
Any ideas?
