synthesis of eCW information related to 21st Century Cures Act

Here is my current understanding of eCW’s features related to the Cures Act.  I appreciate any input!

eCW has the below features:
1)  It is possible to block certain Visit Types (ie Behavioral Health Visit Types) from publishing to the Patient Portal.

2)  It is possible to publish Personal Health Record (PHR) to the Patient Portal.  PHR includes Allergies, Problem Lists, Procedures, Medications, Immunizations, Vitals, Social History, Family History, and Lab Diagnostics.  When PHR is published, the information will be published for ALL Visit Types, including Visit Types that have been blocked.

3)  It is possible to publish the entire Progress Note to the Patient Portal by enabling Visit Note in Patient Portal settings.

4)  It is possible to publish lab results prior to the provider marking them as Reviewed.

5)  It is possible to turn off Patient Portal access for certain patients/groups of patients (for example, adolescents).

eCW has the below limitations:
1)  It is not possible to restrict one specific visit from being published to the Patient Portal.

2)  It is not possible to restrict one specific section of a Visit Summary (or Progress Note, if Visit Note is enabled in Patient Portal settings).  For example, eCW has advised that the Clinical Notes section of the Treatment window may be visible on the Patient Portal.  Also, if Visit Note is enabled, HPI from the Progress Note will be visible on the Patient Portal.

3)  It is not possible to prevent the Visit Summary from being published to the Patient Portal prior to the Progress Note being locked.
