Over the last few years, a few providers have left the practice and it has come to my attention recently that not all of their progress notes were locked. Obviously we need to ensure we have a more thorough offboarding process to ensure that’s taken care of prior to their departure.
I am curious what other practices do in this situation? Does the IT group lock the notes? Medical Director?
