Hello, everyone!
We are a FQHC community health center and have questions about deactivating providers in eCW and how that affects any outstanding claims for that provider. Our billing department keeps providers active in eCW for a long time, sometimes years, after they leave our practice because they fear claim issues for a provider that is marked inactive. My question to you all: How do you inactivate providers in eCW when they leave your practice? When do you do this? Do you have any issues with deactivating providers leading to claim denials for those providers?
We are a FQHC Community Health Center, so maybe our mission somehow affects the timing of our claims processing. If you also are a FQHC, please let me know how you navigate this deactivation process!
