Starting a new thread since we are getting closer to go date (if you haven’t flipped the switch yet).
What is everyone doing to get ready (in eCW) for this? We are still on v11.40 and waiting to get v11.52 to see if there are any more bells and whistle settings As far as eCW, is releasing everything in the visit summary and enabling full notes to release to the portal, the only settings? Our compliance officer says we must release all telephone encounters, going backwards (that’s so scary) but not sure if enabling notes to release, will enable TEs or is there an additional setting. I feel like the bulk of this is going to be training (something we horribly lack) for the providers and staff on HOW to document from a “the patient will see this, perspective”. Where are you telling your providers to document very sensitive info they don’t want released. eCW suggesting a sticky note, but that seems crazy to me since anyone can basically erase it and run on stickies wouldn’t even be noticed at some point.
Is anyone NOT planning on enabling to release everything? Thoughts on BH and PSYCH notes? Training plans? Where I came from before, we would have been training every provider, nurse and staff, handing them a training manual specific to this, months before due, but here we don’t have plans for it and I don’t do the training, so at least I can gather everything I can and pass on to providers.
