Blocking Information Cures Act Feature in eCW LIVE

My providers are not happy about this at all that eCW has enabled this feature already.  Our local EPIC users are not enabling this until March, which allows a lot of notification and changes training to their staff.  I think we were a little blindsided to see that this was enabled back in November!
Are you all making plans to document in other sections of the progress note, rather than Treatment Plan - Notes or Clinical Notes fields?  We document a ton of sensitive notes and since both of those fields, along with Assessment notes, etc, etc, carry over to portal/healow app, my providers would like to document in Prev Med…which is odd to me.  Would love suggestions from other providers/groups as to how you are working around this, if at all!
It is also my understanding that this will affect all notes going backwards as well.  Anyone know differently?
