Televisits quality?
Wondering if anyone is using televisits through eclinicalworks. Our biggest problem has been connectivity issues and errors that patients get on their side (no appointment showing up for them etc). 100% of the time we cannot get through a televisit without loosing connection 2-3 times.
We have the fastest business comcast speed available in our area.
Many times we start the televisit and then have to finish the televisit on spruce (which has perfect connection). Plus we are paying $2 per visit with ecw televisits and if we use our other apps we pay nothing extra. We would rather use ecw as patients don’t have to download an extra app. We are about to change to att fiber and we will see how it goes.
So I am wondering if it is even possible to have a good connection with eclinicalworks? What is everyone’s experience?

CHADIS with v11? currently usable or future version…
As a pediatric group, we have been eagerly hoping CHADIS would be available since it was brought up as an upcoming interface at the NUC back a hundred years ago (in pediatrician years).
I have heard both that it is avail in v11 and that it will be an upcoming feature in a future v11 release. Anyone using it? thoughts?

Procedure categories?
Does anyone know if there is a way to categorize procedures? We have many different services that could be considered ancillaries, but are done in house. We would like to have some reporting/sorting capability in the future to see in the procedures order window a way to categorize things such as Sudos/ABIs/ANS testing into one category and preventative testing in another category despite it all being housed in one area (procedures).
Or our other option, if the above is not possible, is to create unique naming conventions or prefix/suffixes to be able to “sort” if needed.
Any input is greatly appreciated!

screening for loneliness
We are looking to document screening for loneliness, perhaps using the Revised UCLA Loneliness Scale, Three Item Loneliness Scale, or the Berkman-Syme Social Network Index. Has anyone built Smart Forms with these that we might be able to implement at a lower cost that custom building? Or added them in HPI?

acute care plan
If a provider has designated an acute care plan for a patient (ie when tachycardic, take an extra dose of medication), how do you note that in the chart?
We are looking for solutions to how to make this acute care plan obvious in the chart so that any nurse fielding a phone call from the patient can give the provider’s instructions without having to consult the provider.
So far we have come up with putting an alert in the patient profile photo to check patient Notes. We have used profile photo for alerts like custody issues and patients who received IVIG after measles exposure- however we currently don’t use Notes for clinical information. Any pros and cons to this solution?

V11e Letters
Hello!
We are piloting V11e and ran into a change with running letters. In the exe, we have the Microsoft word automatic date inserted into our Letters. When letters are run from the system, it will pull in todays date no matter where you are running the letter from (hub or progress note). In the e version, this “insert date” feature does not work. eCW recommends replacing that with the “encounter date” code. If users run a letter from the progress note it will pull in the enc date, but if we run letters from the hub it does not.
Has anyone found a work around for this? Or are users being directed to type in the date after they run letters?

Tracking Board workflow
Does anyone use Tracking Board? If so, can you describe your workflow for using it? We like a lot of the features but I wish it listed the patient’s appointment time.
If Tracking Board and the Office Visits screen had a baby, it could be perfect!

training tips for going to 11e from 11exe
We are planning to gradually transition to 11e over the next couple months. What are your best tips for training?
I’ve been using 11e for several clinical sessions over the past few weeks and have pages of notes and questions on where to find things, how to do them differently.
I’ve watched some of the eCW University videos (based on 10e, created 3 years ago I think?) and they are helpful for orienting to the new locations of some things, but not all.
How did your practices approach training current 11exe users on 11e?

AWV Reminders - Web enabled patients
Is there a better way to send reminders for AWV than searching in Registry for 65+, Medicare etc.. then just blasting a generic message to them through the portal? Athena has a nice reminder with pictures and formatting, looks professional. I feel there should be a better way to do this?

Notes uploading to Patient Portal - setting is checked
Hopefully this is just happening to us. The setting in Patient Portal Settings > Lab Settings > ‘Do not upload “Notes” when publishing…’ is checked, so notes should not show which they don’t…
Using Chrome everything is fine, the notes are not on the portal. The problem occurs when you go to ‘Restore Down’ the window, or the two little squares to the right of minimize. Click it once and the notes will appear. Hopefully that made sense.
We’re on 8.2.14 on the Patient Portal but it was happening before the latest update. Also, using the latest version of Chrome. Haven’t tried it on IE. I haven’t read a notice on my.eclinical about this but I could have easily missed it, there are so many.

V11 Downgrade threatens patient safety and practice revenue
We were told we must upgrade to V11 and that all issues were fixed. Now that we have upgraded, our practice alerts are broken. This has crippled our office from notifying patients of their physicals. It also prevents us from notifying them of recommended cancer screenings and followup examinations. We have entrusted this software company with our professional integrity and in return, they keep us in the dark and feed us sh!t.
ECW has always been a house of cards but it appears to be crumbling before we’ve had a chance to jump ship. We opened a ticket on this issue and were told, “It’s a known bug, fixed in a future version.” Sound familiar?
Time to look for a new EMR. I’ll be calling EMR reps today.

Secondary Insurance Report
Just want a simple report filtering patients by seconday insurance, IE: Who has Insurance XYZ as their secondary. Doesn’t look like the Registry will pull from the list of secondaries and cannot see how to do this on the eBO viewer which we have. Any help would be appreciated.

adding medications
Hello!
Is there a way to add medications to patient’s current medications if the patient doesn’t know the name of the medication? For example, patient states that she is on an antihypertensive but can’t remember the name of it. Thanks in advance!

configuring Vitals in Tracking Board
Is there a way to set which vitals we want to get an alert about on Tracking Board? We don’t want to see out-of-range weights, but we do want to see SpO2, HR, RR.
We are still on 11exe but are preparing to start on 11e.

Copy to Medical Hx
When in the Problem List, you are able to select a problem and “Copy to Medical Hx.”
The diagnosis or “name” is then copied to the Medical History. However, none of the other fields like “Specify” and “Notes” are transferred to the Medical History. Is the the way it’s supposed to function? Or is there a setting to allow it to copy the other fields.

List of Security Settings
Does anyone have a list of Security Settings or can tell me where I can find them? I really would like to have a list with descriptions of what each does….I know too much to ask for!
Our former IT person who prior to go live set up all of our roles, copied from one to another and people have a ton of settings they shouldn’t have. I’ve unchecked the ones I know for sure, but would love a list to go on.
Current issue is some of the nurses not having the ability to right click and copy and paste appts while others do and they are all in the same role.

Change Requests - E-Bean
Has anyone been able to successfully respond to a ‘change request’ under the E-bean?
This new software ‘feature’ appeared with our V11 downgrade and allows pharmacies (or CVS only) to request 90d supplies on behalf of the patient. These are listed separately from refill requests and do not change the count of the E-bean. So my E-bean says zero, but I have 20 change requests.
Problem is, I cannot respond to these change requests because the allergies won’t validate. It’s just a never-ending daisy wheel. I’ve tried responding on the exe, 11e, and iPad - none work and some crash the software completely.
Any ideas? Seems to be low on our software team’s priority list, but it is, yet again, affecting the care I deliver to my patients.
