We want to change our password length from 6 to 8 characters. If we change this will it force all users to change their passwords on the next login or just the next time their password expires or they reset it? Thanks!

Anyone know how eCW picks the diagnosis codes to attach to the CCM billing?
If the patient has more than 2 eligible dx in their problem list, is there a way to indicate which the time is associated with?

v11e buttons randomly grey out
We have gone to v11e and experiencing several issues.. One is randomly the medical history , lab labels, and select scanner button are greyed out.. We clear browsing hx in chrome and clear client side cache to get the buttons back.. However it happens multiple times a day.. Has anyone had the same experience? Any suggestions? ECW has not been too helpful..

Dragon in 10e—having problems
have you guys found that dragon works just as well in 10e browser version as compared to version 10?
In version 10 Dragon seems to work fine but when I use it in the browser version it’s almost like there is no medical vocabulary at all. Do I need to change some kind of settings? Also it will fail to capitalize the first letter of the first word. Things like that.
Any advice for me?

Turning Off ABN Pop-Up For Labs
An ABN (Advanced Beneficiary Notice) pop up appears for Medicare patients when I order labs.
As far as I know, I am not responsible for obtaining an ABN for labs I do not bill for.
Does anyone know if there is a way to turn off this pop-up for ABN’s?
I have not seen this addressed in the forums.

Upgrading from v10 exe to v11exe
I recently was hired and the company has not started any training upgrading to v11 exe. I want to train only on the differences of v10exe to v11exe. I spoke with my SAM to see if a document exist of the differences in v10 to v11. Our SAM could not find any documents. Does any one have a document on the differences in v10exe to v11exe?
I will need to do a refresher training after the upgrade training.

Telephone Encounters - Default Facility
After V11 update we have a user that when she creates a telephone encounter ‘Facility’ is blank. It’s not defaulting to the patient’s facility. I’ve looked in ‘My Settings’ and don’t see anything. It’s only happening to this user.

“template” for TEs
We are looking to use eCW features to prompt information in a TE. For example, when we get a call from DCF/CPS, we want a way to prompt the staff person to remember to ask the caseworker’s name, if the case is newly opened or being closed, etc.
So far we are considering:
-the Complaints button- Free form fields with options staff are able to select (see screen grab)
-the Browse - Macros where staff can free text within the prompts (screen grab in next post)
What other ways do you know of to do this within a TE? Thanks!

Progress notes left open by providers no longer at the practice
I’m curious to know how other practices handle progress notes that are left open by providers who are no longer working for the organization. I know the best thing to do is to have the provider lock all open charts before being separated but that doesn’t always happen.
Do you keep the notes open or do you have someone, like a supervising provider, go and lock the charts? If a supervisor locks the chart, is an addendum used to indicate that the person locking the note is not the author of the note?

ICD-10 IMO/Smart Search Slowness and Disconnection issues
We have a few hosted practices reporting issues with application hangs or disconnects when using the IMO Smart Search feature within the Assessment Window of eCW V11.40 EXE. eCW has advised as they looked into the connection from us to IMO and it are seeing a high latency time when the issue occurs. Any other site seeing similar issues?

Abnormal Lab Results
I have searched everywhere: if I’m duplicating a train of thought, please re-direct me.
Is there a way (rule engine, etc) to automatically create a TE, Action Item, etc when a lab comes is marked abnormal? I found ways to write a Clinical Rule Engine rule, that will trigger when you click on ‘treatment’ or when you are on the Appointment screen, but frequently those lab results don’t come in for a week or so, and the progress note is already locked (so we’re not going back into the treatment section of the note, or through the appointment again.
Looking for something that triggers from marking the lab as reviewed with abnormal results.

psych/BHS panels AND PCP panels in a multispecialty practice
Do you know of a way in eCW to assign a patient to 2 different panels- to their PCP as well as to their behavioral health clinician and/or psychiatrist? Or another way of tracking how many patients a behavioral health clinician/psychiatrist has under their care?

HEDIS measures
How is everyone providing HEDIS measure data to payors? We have the HEDIS dashboards, however, it doesn’t seem detailed enough for the particular payor that we are working with. They want info like the following:

eCW suggested Healow Insights, however, they do not work with this particular payor yet. How are you getting this information to the insurance companies? Did you write custom reports? Is there a feature that I am missing that would provide this information to the payor?

How can I find out who is prescribing a certain med?
We have 180 providers in our group. I’ve found that someone is prescribing a ridiculously expensive medication which is of dubious clinical value. I don’t know who’s doing it, but my Board of Directors tasked me to find out.
Is there a function or report available within eCW that will let me search for orders by prescription name?

We failed a VFC Audit. Need to include staffs credentials in name
We failed one our VFC audits sections because the name and credentials of the medical staff isn’t showing. eCW is not able to enable the credentials of the medical staff in the immunization section. Only providers credentials will show if needed (through an itemkey).
One suggestion is to enter the credentials of our staff in their last name. My supervisor says that they have done this in the past but it had brought up issues, although she can’t recall what issues stemmed from this.
Anyone know of any issues that would arise from entering credentials in last name? Or any other solution?
