N jellybean, speech anywhere

I am testing out speech anywhere+ scribe on eclinicaltouch and eclinicalmobile. Seems encouraging so far but the workflow is a little different than we have been using when typing progress notes.  I am curious to see if anyone has any good workflows using speech anywhere.  Dictating into mobile?  touch?  How are you completing the treatment plan quickly?


So far the best workflow I have found for me is using scribe in touch to “edit last progress note” and dictating the HPI (often in mobile). 


I also have not figured out how the N jellybean fits into the picture. 

I would appreciate hearing anyone else’s thoughts and experience with these products!

what is the best and efficient way of getting the consent form for the vaccinations. We use paper forms which slow us down. Is Ipad a viable solution?

eRX failing and who is actually placing the orders

Some of our providers are failing eRx MU measure.  Getting them to click the Rx Eligibility button manually on the telephone encounter is proving to be tough but slowly they are clicking it.  I am questioning whether the measure is also failing because the front desk staff is adding the medications to the TEs for refills.  Do you know if this is a factor?  Our nurses and CMAs are checked off in the system as licensed and credentialed but of course, not the front desk staff.  I think those users adding medications is causing alot of fails as well.  Any thoughts?

Multi-Page Inking

We started using Multi-Page Inking today on two documents.  We use Topaz Signature Pads.  Running EcwDigiInk v4.13.6.0 4/21/2017.  We are consistently getting “ImageTool.General” errors and FTP errors when saving.

The documents are getting signed and saved properly.  However the Front Staff at our nine clinics are not happy right now.

Anyone have any ideas?  Yes, I opened a ticket early this morning but they have yet to respond.  cool cheese

Web encounter - reply to patient-where do you enter the message?

When replying to a patient who has created a web encounter through the portal, do you write in the action taken box, the reply to patient box?
If I reply in action taken box then click reply to patient, then patient receives empty message.
If I reply in “reply to patient” box, the patient receives the message but it does not show in the action taken box so it looks like I never wrote the patient back.
This is only on the chrome browser version.
ECW says this is normal.
Wondering if this is true?

eCW 10e Label Printing

We are using eCW 10e and have a Dymo label printer connected directly to the computer.  When we try to print labels from the patient hub it says that the Label is not configured and we need to set a path.  Can anyone help?

Procrit injection

We occasionally give Procrit injection in the office. Medicare apparently requires to report hematocrit in HCFA form. Does anybody know how to enter hematocrit in Hcfa form?

Would like to connect with practices using eCW for Ryan White patients and Case Management

We are using eCW for our Ryan White clients and patients, as well as Case Management and Mental Health Rehab (MHR).  For MHR we are creating Case types and this workflow is working well. We’ve had conflicting information on using Case types for case management visits and Ryan White patients.
Is anyone else a Ryan White practice or group that is using eCW for these patients and clients and would be willing to share your workflows starting with adding these insurances, creating Case types (or not)  to billing these services?  Would be much appreciated. We can’t be the only ones using eCW for these services.

There are many, many problems with ecw in general.  It’s horrible.
The tragic thing is it should not be so horrible, and should be fixable.

We have terrible problems with it, duplication of parts of charts 10-20+ times,
crashes when switching assessment tabs, and many other problems.

The solution to all of this lately has been, “It will be fixed with the next upgrade”
When is the “next upgrade”?
We don’t know.

Meanwhile the “workflow” has become a bad word here, and usually involves 3x the work or more, and makes no sense.
Now when I prescribe something, I have to hit more buttons for Rx Eligibility… WHY?  Why can’t it do anything for me?

Its like trying to make Microsoft Outlook into an EMR… but… oh yeah, that’s what they did.

I had high hopes for the web version, but it stinks.  Cannot reply to telephone notes without copy, paste, jump in circles workflows.

Is there not a useful EMR that actually works out there?
Paper charts were more efficient, and that’s sad.

Our only choices for race are African, African American, White, and Declined to specify.
No asian or pacific islander, other.
My office manager was told this is a glitch in 11e.

practices using portal forms

Is anyone using the portal forms.  We recently experimented with our annual form.  IT was a time consuming process requiring ECW to manually create the form, upload it and then map it.  Apparently, unbenownced to us, because the annual form is link to an annual visit, pt gets the visit reminder and a link to complete that form associated with that visit type.  This can be very useful since pt complete before hand. 

Is there is easier way to create forms and upload to portal, in house?

What other forms are practices commonly using for this purpose?

Has anyone come across vital sign percentages not calculating for patients? We are having intermittent issues with Wt, Ht, and BMI percentages not calculating.

Appointment reminder calls for rescheduled appts

Has anyone had issues with appt reminder calls going out through Messenger for rescheduled appointments? Over the past two days we’ve had a few incidents where the patient will receive an appt reminder call for an appt that had been rescheduled well in advance. In addition, the appt reminder does not show up in the messenger log.

Please help. :(

Provider signature disappearing on locked progress notes

Has anyone else had this issue? The signature is visible in eCW/print/fax when the note is “done” but not locked, but once the note is locked you can’t see the provider signature. This is only for our newest provider, so I’m sure we missed something in the setup of her signature, but I cannot figure it out. I do have a ticket open with eCW, but wanted to try here as well. Thanks!

Vaccines for Adults

Is anyone out there utilizing Vaccines for Adults (basically Vaccines for Children but for Adults).

How are you noting in eCW that they qualify because they are uninsured or underinsured or not eligible at all?

I have my VFC in demographics dropdown customized - from 2009.  However, now eCW is telling me that they cannot customize this to include my VFA.

I would appreciate any feedback anyone who is using this program has!

On my phone all the schedule listed under me - the physician- also includes everyone of my patients scheduled for bloodwork (we draw in house).  How do I get them off my schedule view.  They don’t show up on eclinicaltouch, just the eclinicalmobile app.

Do you add state medical license active and term dates to provider profiles?

Would there be a specific reason why you would leave active and term date blank?  I’m noticing this on state license in our profiles but not for DEA nor would I leave the DEA dates blank.  Thoughts?
