Does anyone know how the ‘Previous Diagnosis’ list in the chrome version of ecw sorts itself? It doesn’t seem to be alphabetical or by last used. Is there any way to make the previous diagnosis list alphabetical?

Hello, I have seen a few threads about this, but none within the last few years and wanted to get some recent feedback from the current community.
We have previously allowed insurance auditors come on site, with a somewhat restricted (as far as eCW goes anyway) access to pull charts. After my arrival at the practice, we have shifted the work of chart pulling to our medical records staff. However, as our practice has grown in size, so have the audit needs.
Our current administration is in support of reducing the burden on our staff and allowing auditors back on site with direct access to eCW again. This has its own challenges as we will not be able to have unique accounts for each auditor, due to having AD FS (SSO) enabled, and the turnaround time to have an account created for each unique auditor in a timely fashion.
For my fellow eCW clients, what are you currently doing for your insurance audits? Doing the chart pulling for them? Creating reports that they can run? Letting them on site with access to eCW?
Using eCW 11e, how are other organizations performing co-signatures when a PA or Resident provider is placing an order on their schedule but their supervising provider needs to co-sign an order?
Is there a license key that enables this functionality as opposed to manipulating the appointment and who it’s scheduled to?
In the course of doing some legwork to address another issue, we had reason to compare what was being sent by our Immunization Registry interface to the state of Texas’s ImmTrac 2, and comparing it also to immunizations given to patients who have a “1” value in the Immconsent column in the patientinfo table of the database, which means they consented to have the data shipped upstream to TX. The values do not match. Many are missing. eCW has worked on it to no avail for a couple of days. Has anyone else had an issue with this data not flowing properly?
With mandatory reporting of the COVID vaccine, this is an issue. We’re going to all manual reporting once we get the vaccines because we can’t trust the interface and we all know what a labor-intensive task that’ll be.
Might be wise to audit your interface, especially if you’re self-hosted.
Has anyone planned for a mass COVID vaccine campaign using ECW? How can one make 1000+ appointments in a day? How to get patients to pre-register on their own and self check-in seamlessly?
Just as a heads up to other practices, we are earnestly requesting a COVID-19 Vaccine Screening Smart Form from eCW. As we have been informed for the last ~1.5y eCW is not accepting external requests for Smart Forms, but we are making the case that just as the Respiratory Illness Screening Smart Form was developed in response to the pandemic, the Vaccine Screening Smart Form is the next feature needed by many eCW practices.
Our SAM has escalated the request to the FQHC Biz Development Lead. We eagerly await a response as we are confident the Smart Form will help with the safety and efficiency of administering and documenting the vaccine, and will be a welcome addition to the Order Set we are building.
eCW said they were rolling this out in bulk to cloud users. Has anyone gotten yet?

Does anyone use jellyfish with eCW to provide current wait times on your websites? We have heard from jellyfish that they currently have one eCW user - we would love to speak with that user!
ECW load the December Medispan last night. Low and behold this morning our Allergy screen has changed and we are not able to add nonstructered allergies. (I am assuming that more than just the Medispan got added)
I have searched and cannot find how to get this ability back. I do have a ticket open with ECw. Waiting for them to call.
But my clinicians are having a fit.
I’m trying to create a DX specific alert for a procedure. DX alerts have everything but procedures in the dropdown when creating them so I’m in a pickle. I can create just a procedure alert but you’re very limited with criteria for the trigger which is age and doesn’t apply in this case.
I’m trying to create a diabetes eye exam procedure alert. If I made this particular exam a lab I’m set, but it’s not. Any suggestions?
We have patients calling our call center to express interest in getting the COVID vaccine. Wondering how others are tracking this. We have 5 locations. Curious as to whether the Wait List function would work for this? Also considered creating a fake user for each location to have actions assigned to for each patient when they call. The sites could then work independently to access the actions and handle accordingly. Any feedback or alternative ideas?
Anyone else notice that after the 11.50 upgrade there are much more Concurrency Locks happening? Not sure if the upgrade changes a setting or if this is a bug? We can release them, but its causing a lot of confusion with users… why they are locking (more than usual).

“There are section(s) thar are currently being accessed by other user(s)/ Please wait for sometime.”
Yes, “that” is misspelled. Anyone know how to see what users are currently in a patient’s chart?

I’m working with a client that has nearly 200 endpoints across 25 different sites, some sites being pretty low bandwidth. They are currently using the EXE version.
For a number of reasons I really think eCW over Remote Desktop Services (Terminal Server) would be a big benefit, mainly performance and ability to upgrade editions relatively quickly.
I setup a pilot and all was going well, rave reviews. When we got to the point of testing the scanners, we ran into problems. I’m using RemoteFX USB redirection, and that works fine, the issue is that from within eCW (Version 11.4), when you go into Patient Doc, and select the ‘Select Scanner’ window, it doesn’t open, nothing happens. I can select ‘Advanced Scan’ and scan that way, but that is a bit of a hastle.
Working with eCW they upgraded to the latest version of 11.4.x with the same results, they tried a bunch of different things, and in the end said that the ‘select scanner’ window, for whatever reason, isn’t going to work on Server 2019.
My question to those with more experience, any one run into this problem? Anyone have scanning working properly on Server 2019, RDS too? What about Server 2016? I’m open to deploying Server 2016 for this effort. I’ve put in some major effort on this, and I think eCW made a genuine effort as well, I just know that no single entity is as powerful as the collective eCWusers.

After upgrade 2-3 weeks ago (we are cloud based, so I am assuming it was the latest 11.5 - my “About” tab is just showing version 11) we noticed problems with plotting BMI. From what we could tell it was using kg and cm as lbs and inches and calculating the BMI using the US calculation instead of the metric calculation as it should be.
This was “fixed” about a week later, but now the system is not pulling any historical weight or height data. Only visits since the fix are being plotted. Head circumference and BMI are strangely fine.
Anyone else having this issue? Support is supposed to be working on this, but taking too long.

Did you rename the facility in eCW or did you create a new facility?
We know there are pros/cons to , but if you have gone through this I’d be like to hear your experience?

One of the oncology providers I work with is requesting that BSA be calculated using the DuBois formula. eCW (via chat) says they use the Mosteller formula and cannot change to DuBois.
Has anyone found a way to make a custom vital using a custom formula?
I am really disliking the new modern view of the support portal! I’ve been working with eCW for 8 years and all of a sudden they throw me for a loop! Anyone know if we can continue to see the classic view? We could at first, but I am not seeing the option any longer. Thanks
My providers are not happy about this at all that eCW has enabled this feature already. Our local EPIC users are not enabling this until March, which allows a lot of notification and changes training to their staff. I think we were a little blindsided to see that this was enabled back in November!
Are you all making plans to document in other sections of the progress note, rather than Treatment Plan - Notes or Clinical Notes fields? We document a ton of sensitive notes and since both of those fields, along with Assessment notes, etc, etc, carry over to portal/healow app, my providers would like to document in Prev Med…which is odd to me. Would love suggestions from other providers/groups as to how you are working around this, if at all!
It is also my understanding that this will affect all notes going backwards as well. Anyone know differently?
