Hi,

We have multiple offices with around 100 physicians.  Do you have the securities enabled to allow all physicians to build and modify templates, or do you have a “Physician Master” from each office that builds templates for that office?

Is anyone on V11.50 yet?  Attending the National Conf I feel we need to move to it soon for some of the features but am curious from actual users have the upgrade is.

Hiding old vaccine name that we are not using

We have several Influenza vaccines that are no longer valid (brands from 2017-2019) and not being used in 2020-2021.  I have them ‘zz’d ou, but is there a way to hide these?

We get so many different brands each year, including VFC and non-VFC and I would like to remove the zzInfluenza vaccines so they are not accidently ordered.  Anyone know if there is a way to hide them?

Permission denied

I have 1 provider that periodically gets permission denied while trying to order a lab. She has been working all day in the system. She will clear cookies/cache and log out and back…nothing works.
I have to remove her security role and then give it back to her to get it to work.

No other provider is having this issue.

Any suggestions?

Registration Rules

Are there any registration rules that can be created to address issues with the patient demographics info? I’m looking for a way to trigger an error if the patient doesn’t have a recent consent/registration form on file, and a way to trigger for staff to make sure that any bad address patients that provide updated contact info have the ‘do not send statement’ option unchecked. Or at best, a way to run a report to audit for this.

In your organization, does the eCW PSO serve in clinical safety roles, or more as a communication liaison for advisories?

In the NUC sessions, eCW described the PSO as sending out Messages about unlocked Progress Notes, participating in RCA meetings.  In our organization those functions are served by 2 additional, separate roles.


healow Televisits vs. doxy.me

Hello all,

We were considering recently switching to healow for our televisits. We are currently using the free version of doxy.me. I know this issue was discussed a lot back in Spring of this year, and there were a lot of reported issues with healow Televisits. Since we were all adjusting to the virtual world due to COVID, those issues are understandable.

1) Now, 7 months later, I am wondering if healow Televisits is a more viable option than it was earlier this year, given months of time for improvements. Anyone have experience with this?

2) As a follow up, assuming healow Televisits’ technical functionality is on par with other services like doxy.me, are there any clear benefits/features that healow has that others don’t (such as ways to boost efficiency, simplify workflow, etc.)?

v11.5 - how to add “top panel” back to “document” screen?

We were updated to version 11.5 on Monday and working through kinks.

In the past when we review documents, there was a “top panel” available to see the provider name, last appt, and also the yellow and secure stickies…

After updating that “top panel” is no longer there.

Does anyone know if these is a setting to re-activate the top panel in this part of the EMR?

I’ve combed through settings but cannot find anything?

Any help much appreciated!

We are looking into the browser version of eCW after being on exe for 5 years. I was wondering from others user’s experiences how long was the training for end users when moving from exe to browser?

Can’t access billing window and DEA invalid after update

Hello all -

anyone have a problem with being able to access the billing section of a note after the update? it says permission denied for my providers, not sure what security key to enable. It also says their DEA is invalid, this isn’t true but trying to see how to fix it.

Initializing Plug-In

Anybody having problems with an “Initializing Plug-In” mini-window popping up when you first login and then taking 10-15 minutes to actually load the EMR to use?

Using eCW v11 (not .exe).

IT talks about clearing cache on chrome (maybe helps, maybe not).

Has been an ongoing issue - really blunts the morning when have to wait for the EMR to finally start.

slow performance issues on V11 SAAS

anyone else noticing VERY slow and disruptive performance issues on V11 SAAS for past few weeks? Movin from screen to screen and lag when opening a screen.  It’s limited to ECW product only.  No problem with all my other webservices.  And it’s on all computers.

S Jelly Bean # also now including nurse and immunization visits?

Has anyone seen this, where the S Jelly Bean # for the providers is also including nurse visits and immunization visits if they are the set as the provider on the appointment screen, but the resource provider set to a nurse. It seems like these are now counting towards the provider’s S Jelly B #. I don’t believe it was like this before.

For example, the provider has say 10 on his S jelly bean, but he only has 8 pts on his schedule, with the remaining two being nurse visits. The provider is set as The Provider on the appointment window, but the resource is set to a nurse. Has it always been like this?

Your workflow for creating a new user

I average about one new user every three days or so. There might only be one way to do this but curious if others have the same workflow or if I’m click happy.

1. Create the user in Admin > Staff ....
2. Assign security settings in File > Security Settings. I have templates I copy to the user. We are user based, not role.
3. Hard Reset password in File > Settings. This way the user is forced to change their password.

This seems pretty straight forward and I’ve done it so many times it’s mechanical but it seems some of this can be consolidated. If you create a new user you’re obviously going to assign them security settings. Why not have that on the create user/staff screen as well? I know my step #3 is extra but if we don’t force the staff to change their password they won’t do it.

Hopefully I’ve been doing this wrong for years and there’s an easier approach.

v11.5 update - extreme slowness and not responding in the treatment section - HELP!

Greetings,

our eCW version was updated a week ago Monday to v11.5.

We’ve had problems with extreme slowness in the progress notes when navigating specifically in and out of the progress note Treatment Section when selecting different Diagnosis tabs or when ePrescribing… if we click in and out of these screens it messages “not-responding”  ... it might get to the next screen anywhere from 1-5 minutes later but as you know this is a million years when sitting in the exam room with a patient.

eCW has been working on this issue for the last week but so far no success ... it’s been a bit debilitating for us ...

Has anyone else here had this happening since their update and if so were you able to find any fixes (while I’m waiting on eCW to find a solution)...

If not fixed by the end of this week I’m tempted to ask if we can “regress” back to our previous version 11.0 (I’m not sure if that is possible).

Handling MRI Questions on Outbound Orders Interface

Hi all,

Calling all users who currently have an outbound orders interface set up for transmitting DI/Radiology orders.  We are wondering how you are handling MRI and CT questions that need to get to the radiology staff prior to scheduling the test.

We know about the AOE questions and that is an option, but are just curious if there are any other options out there.  We are concerned with the amount of questions that need to be answered, especially for MRI’s.

Looking for ideas!
