10e minor but frequent annoyances

Hey everyone.  I need a place to vent about minor annoyances in 10e (web) that occur frequently enough to have a major impact on my day to day workflow as a provider. 

I have tried to record this list many times in many ways including in my head, my emails, my phone’s notes, on eCW Ideas, through eCW cases, even in person with the development team at the last NUC but somehow all documentation seems to magically disappear… much like the paper charts of years past that my predecessors speak of so fondly.  Hopefully it will be a bit more permanent here on the intertubes.

1. Inconsistent behavior of different Text Boxes regarding cursor focus and mouse pointer location - When typing if the mouse cursor moves out of a 2 line area (even inside the text box) the text box loses focus and user cannot type.  Very annoying when a stray touch pad swipe or an accidental mouse movement of a few pixels causes my keyboard to stop typing!!!!  Occurs at least 30 times a day for me. Noted in HPI/Exam/ROS Notes window but NOT in HPI “Click Through” window

2. Inconsistent and delayed auto “Select All” behavior in single line text boxes - Most single line text boxes automatically select all text even with single click.  Very annoying when trying to correct a typo in the middle of a text field because when you single click to the location of a typo and start typing, eCW selects the entire text field and then all the text is overwritten.  Occurs EVERYWHERE: Document name, Follow Up duration, Follow up Reason, QuickSearch, Medical/Surgical history lines, etc. 

3. Missing Time Stamp buttons:  10e does not have time stamp buttons near most “Notes” text boxes such as billing notes, HPI notes,  Treatment notes, etc.  There is a time stamp button in the ... (aka Browse…) window but that extra click should not be necessary. Time stamps are important for chronological documentation between different staff.

4. Speaking of the Browse… (...) notes.  Why the extra clicks anyway?!?! To enter canned text from the Progress Note into my treatment plan I have to click Treatment->Add Notes-> ... (browse)->Search for my note ->Click the note->OK->OK again->Close the treatment screen. Tons of clicks for the most important aspect of my job that I MUST do for every note! Yes I have macros, templates, quick templates, etc set up but the Treatment Notes Browse area is the most organized location that is shared by all providers.

5. Inconsistent data displayed for Order Details.  Why is there a special and severely limited version of order details when an order is selected from the treatment screen vs. selected from the progress note (normal order screen)?  I need to select

6. Assessment list refresh - In order to select a recently added assessment (from the assessment screen) you must manually refresh the browser first before attempting to use Quick Orders, Referrals and some other items directly accessed from the Progress Note screen. 

7. Poor compatibility (especially for Plugin-based features) with DPI scaling - So many random rendering errors due to my high resolution Surface Pro Screen at 150% DPI Scaling. I cannot use eCliniSense as half the text is missing.  Text spills over on the Office Visits screen until I resize the browser.  Don’t even bother Inking documents in Plug-In mode - A huge area of blank space is inserted into the document if you have DPI scaling. If you save the document it is permanent and the document is no longer legible.

If any of these are fixed in 11e or if you have a simple workaround, please share.  Or please add any 10e specific annoyances you may have.  We have found quite a few fixes here and there so I would love to help out.
