We are in the process of transitioning the incoming phone calls from the patients to a centralized call center that can schedule appointments or if needed to talk to triage being transferred to a triage nurse.
However there are times when a TE is needed and the facility that fills in on the TE is based on the users My Setting. (Is there a setting where this can be based on the patient’s primary service location?)
This is causing confusion in the clinics when patient who attends Facility A has a TE where the Facility is listed as Facility B.
The idea was suggested to create a dummy facility and have all the phone staff use that as their facility in the My Settings; however this also open us up for people to accidentally chose this dummy facility.
I’m looking for how other practices with multiple sites who have centralized scheduling/triage manage the facility on the TE.
