Group Visit - Recurrence starting in the past

We are retroactively adding in group visits from July to have ensure we have data starting from the fiscal year. When you add in a group visit in the past and set a recurrence pattern, it only repeats starting from the current week. It does not add the group appointment to the past dates. Has anyone encountered this?
