I’m not sure how common this is, so bear with me.
When pharmacies fax us with Rx questions or refill requests on meds being transferred from another doctor, these are sent to us doctors as documents attached to Telephone Encounters. (Routine refill requests or anything that could be electronically requested is handled through the E bean). This workflow keeps us from opening a document, reviewing said document, and opening up a telephone encounter to then respond to the question, send in the prescription, etc.
We’ve been told that a feature (ha) in the latest upgrade is that, in addition to having a telephone encounter with the document attached, that very document will be assigned to us as well (to review) under the D bean. Our office manager has been going back-and-forth with support on how to revert this back and has been told it will not/cannot be done.
So, our work has doubled. Does anybody have a better workflow solution? Or has anybody had any success with ECW tech support in fixing an issue like this?
