I just recently was testing to see if a practice default setting was working and noticed my only options for sending a lab/DI order added in a telephone encounter Lab/DI tab was via fax or print even when it was a lab order for a company we have an interface with aka Quest/Labcorp.
If so does that not seem ridiculous to anyone else?
Is the only current workflow to use the telephone encounter virtual visit tab and then create the orders there I know this worked in the past but is kind of a work around that still seems like too many extra steps for a simple task that should be able to be completed on the section named after what you are attempting to order on the lab/di tab of a telephone encounter.
I am attempting to troubleshoot another issue where labs are not defaulting on the send screen to the lab company associated with them for example staff can accidently send a quest lab test to labcorp.
Anyone else know of a way of preventing this from happening?
