Can someone explain to me how the Prisma/“link” system works?
I saw a patient, who had many referrals to other MD’s in our area-no records in Prisma (yes, “release” was checked”).
I click on the icon with the red balls in a square formation (how they came up with this symbol is beyond me, BTW).
It asks me if I want to “link” the patient. I say “yes”, then a long list of other MD offices and hospitals appear.
I see the option “upgrade link”.
Do I need to “upgrade link” for each facility (>10!)?
Do I need to do any of this-would the Prisma records populate if I did nothing?
None of this, of course, is explained to the user anywhere I can see.
