Anyone else facing this recurring dilemma. eScript is sent but doesn’t go through due to NDC error. Been facing this problem in multiple versions including the latest. I don’t understand my if we use multum, why doesn’t that database automatically attach the correct NDC code. Often, pt will call a day later stating pharmacy never got script. And then I see the red E jelly bean of there it is, NDC incorrect error. And then the time intensive process of creating a new TE, adding drug, send it, and wait till end of day to make sure all scripts were processed correctly.
I shouldn’t have to chose any NDCs. Isn’t this what EMR are supposed to do automatically and save me time. Anyone else have a work around for NDCs. It’s not like ECW notifies us BEFORE we sent the script there is an incorrect NDC link behind the scenes.
