Office visits screen - unlocked encounters view

Can anyone tell me why the date range for viewing unlocked encounters on the office visits screen cannot exceed 30 days? Due to timely filing you would think they would be smart enough to make it at least 90 days. This has got to be the most backwards functionality I have seen (Trust me I could actually go on with eCW functionalities but I’d like to highlight this one). Before our upgrade to 11.52.305.66 we used to be able to do longer date ranges I believe, we had an item key enabled for this date range for unlocked encounters on the office visit screen functionality and it was the greatest thing in the world for providers until it wasn’t and reduced down to 30 days. If you have to reduce the range down for coding or performance purposes fine but keep in mind providers rely on this and maybe think of the provider once? Even if this is something small on your list of enhancements fine but why mess with it in the first place. It completely baffles me.

Yeah we could use eBO but we already have a reporting system which can run the unlocked encounters. In lieu of that I liked this unlocked encounters view on the office visits screen because it gave the provider a real time look at their unlocked encounters for a longer period of time. It gives the providers more freedom and flexibility instead of waiting for 1 person to run a report for them and the providers don’t even check their emails half the time or know how to use excel.

If eCW sees this I’d like this to be an enhancement request. (I’ll most likely be ignored or promised the world and never hear from them again, I know how these vendor-client relationships work) There shouldn’t be much work to be done for something like this considering it worked differently before and you changed it so there had to have been some silly reason why which I do not agree with.
