Ever since the 2 factor authentication on the portal was implemented I’m spending more time than I should helping patients get access to the portal. Much of the time the issue is they simply don’t get the codes in time due poor cell service or the patients can’t enter the information properly.
I often have to put my own cell phone information in the patient account temporarily just so I can get the text so I can help them set a password so they can begin using the portal. We work with an older population generally so these technical hurtles can be very frustrating for them.
I wish there was a way from inside the ECW application that I could just set the password for a patient.
Is anyone else experiencing similar issues?
Also if the patient sends too many text attempts the text authentication will be locked out until the next day. Is there anyway to override this? (I’m not referring to the patient being locked out of portal which I can correct in ECW).
