I think this might be a “what the heck are you talking about” question:
We have a company that works our fax inboxes. There are adamant that some of their other clients had eCW add a ‘folder’ to the facilities list dropdown in the fax inbox (browser/web mode). They say that those clients were able to map that folder to place outside of eCW, where they are keeping all documents and they are able to then pull them into the patient document folder. So basically working the documents from that dropdown/folder in the fax inbox. Not sure why they would work documents from there, if it was possible.
I can’t really wrap my head around it, and asked that they take a screenshot, so I can see it. I’m being asked to look into this by our Medical Records administrator and I can’t ask eCW about it, until I have a better understanding. Anyone have any idea? To me it wouldn’t even make sense to work non-faxed documents from the fax inbox when you could just load them in to a shared file folder on a computer and work from there and go from patient to patient documents folders.
Thought I would reach out here for any info or insight.
