Does anyone know the differences between admin and co-admin? Can anyone list them out? So over the years, I’ve asked htis numerous times, and not one eCW resource can answer it or knows. There is no documentation on it anywhere, and Co-admin is only mentioned in one section of the eCW admin manual (52521580), and if you search for it only brings up a video on how to setup a co-admin. Since there can be only one Admin, we need to know who that person is and what additional responsibilities they now are accountable for. Such a simply question that, over 6 years, no one in eCW can answer. I was just assigned Admin once again as part of policy, and now I’d like to know officially what that means.
Here is the list, and I will add toupdate this list for everyone similar to what I’ve done for other threads. What Admins (aka the eCW Uber Admin) can do that Co-Admins cannot:
—Unlock locked notes for any provider (Item Key option) UnlockByCoAdmin = Yes “to allow coadmin to unlock the progressnote” ... thanks Brian
—Can change a user name
—Hard Reset Password >> can be enabled to CoAdmins only by either an Admin by Menu > File > Settings > eCW Administrator > Allow “Hard Reset Password” .. Co-Administrator; or via Item Key HardResetPwdbyCoAdmins = Yes “value = Yes enables the feature Hard Reset Pwd by Co-Admins” ... thanks Brian).
—Has access to ePrescribed Controlled Prescription Log Report - By Provider
What else? Reply to this thread and I’ll add to the list!
