As someone very familiar with cloud based apps, I have to comment, after trying to use the ECW cloud product time and again, it is horrible.  It takes many more clicks to accomplish the same thing in the desktop exe version.  for example on a TE phone refill request where my staff fill everything out for me and forward to me to just stamp and send (means 2 steps),  I have to press 9 clicks.  In desktop version, it’s 4.  So the simple mundane but time consuming process of simple sending refills everyday takes 100% longer using the cloud version.  I recall when ECW won the EHR Medical Records awar back in ealry 2000s for taking the least clicks to acheive a task.  The cloud product is a major step backwards.

And there are literally dozens on inefficient workflow tools in the cloud version and I see no improvements in workflow in a product that should be redesigned virtually every month based upon the principles of cloud design.  So if they ever eliminated the EXE version, I would definitely have to switch EMR companies based upon current cloud design.  Fortunately I do like the exe version (minus the fact that it has no provider friendly graphical data reporting capabilities - eg: look at the horrible weight graph or BP graphs or a1c trend graphs.  Compare that to 2020 modern health practice like Forward or OneMedical, Lemonade health, Oaktree.  ECW needs to move faster to the cloud.
