We have a process where a nurse/tech adds an addendum to a signed progress note and the reassigns the progress note to the provider to sign off on/document acknowledgement of the addendum. It’s a new process but seems to be working. Today we had a signed progress note from 6/23, added an addendum and when we tried to reassign to the provider for signing off again, the Assign/Change Progress Note screen shows it’s already been addressed. (Like the provider had already signed again even though it hadn’t been reassigned to him yet.)
My question is: is there a way to unlock only the reassigned piece so we can get him to review and sign off on the addendum?
