Our providers are constantly asking to be able to text or send messages in real time to patients, whether directly to their phones (HIPPA?). When they click to send a message to patients either through the OV schedule or through the HUB, only “emessage” is checked and they cannot check Voice or Text, even if they go to those specific tabs in the window. Maybe we just are informed about this workflow. I don’t know of a way to send a message directly to the patient without sending it to the portal, which would notify the patient through text that something new is in their portal. Hoping v11 has something new.
