I have talked with a few customers regarding these patient safety notices that come out weekly now, 12 just posted this weekend.
I seem to always get the response of “oh that doesn’t really apply to us and we don’t pay them too much attention.”
I have never worked with an e.h.r. vendor that managed bugs in their software like this. To date there are over 200 notices posted on myeclinicalworks.com with no end in site as the latest reference version 11 as well. These scare me as they effectively transfer liability back to the provider for a bug / glitch in the software.
Are folks reviewing these notices?
Do they communicate the concerns to their providers?
