Wanting to bring up and brainstorm with others which sections seem the most appropriate for providers and office staff to document that a patient has received a dose of a covid vaccine but that was done from a source other than our office. For example patient received dose 1 of moderna covid vaccine from publix but staff wants to make sure its documented in a location thats visible to others.
I was thinking the best place would be to create items in the immunization field labeled with other facility at the end of the item name to note it was not given by our staff even though when you include an immunization item it automatically adds given by: current users name for that progress note.
are others just using plain text medical history for documenting?
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions let me know.
