After what was one failure of an update (which required a restore), to a manual update by eCW support (which took awhile, but appeared to “stick” after some fiddling), we’re day 1 live on V11 (hoorah, Mondays, and no booze in sight - yet).
Is this the worst upgrade we’ve done to date? No. But it is certainly far from perfect. There is a laundry list of things that need to be corrected, but our SAM and the support crew are all working quite diligently - we haven’t had to stop seeing patients except for about 20 minutes this AM for some client updates and figuring out some med problems.
Speaking of med problems - why can’t eCW just get this code right? From Current Meds being a disaster to ghosted meds to EditRX modern view being a joke (try looking on any resolution lower than 1280x720), it seems V11 just brought out all the gremlins.
Por ejemplo: Patient #1 of the day had a longstanding med list that was kept clean and perfect in V9-V10.
V11, when loading current meds, created 3x of one med, 2x of 3 other meds, and added to the list a med that was stopped in 2014. Yeehaw. Oh, and now that EditRX is forced to ModernView - you can’t increase/decrease med strength unless it is loaded into the little pick list, and the pick list doesn’t seem to work if you have formulary vs non-formulary checked lists loaded. Derp.
So now we’re freetexting in NOTES so the patients don’t get (totally) confused when they leave of what any med changes might be (or what to ignore if randoms show up) while techs figure out the root cause and nip it.
Oh, and outgoing faxes are bricked if you tried to stick with MSFax. They will try to attempt a fix; my hope is we can keep using MSFax until UFG gets repaired (the whole can’t cancel outbound faxes thing has me irked - something Girish has personally told me he will take to the devs, so while I am not holding my breath, I am confident that it will eventually get done). Will update on if that gets break-fixed or if I am forced to UFG and the liabilities that presents.
Did I mention tequila is delicious?
