We are adding an ophthalmology service line to our group - the main focus being cataract surgery and treatment of wet macular degeneration. The surgeon will co-manage patients with the local optometry providers.
I’m looking for any tips on making eCW work for this service line but also welcome any input on patient flow in clinic, billing, interfaces, staffing structure, medication documentation & inventory, etc. If you’re willing to share screenshots of any templates you’ve created, that would be so helpful! I have very limited knowledge in this field but I’m learning a lot every day. Image may be NSFW.

We’ll have two lanes and a testing room with an OCT, fundus imaging and IOL Master - as much as possible, everything will be interfaced with Zeiss FORUM which (fingers crossed) will interface with eCW. The surgeon will be doing intravitreal injections in the clinic and surgery at our hospital which is on Meditech 6.
