Not sure how many people haven’t upgraded to V11 but I figured I would share information about our experience.
I am attaching a summary of how we prepared for the upgrade.
The things we found most valuable were:
- in advance, having a list of the item keys we wanted activated. We were able to put those tickets in very quickly in the early AM the day of golive and most of them were activated before users logged in.
- taking screenshots of settings in V10 to validate in V11. I was really surprised how many settings were cleared when we upgraded! (Example - the OS tab in the right chart panel was unselected in My Settings for every user)
- we ran report 4.21 before the upgrade to validate security settings in V11. Again, I was really surprised how many settings were cleared when we upgraded - mainly affecting billing staff.
- having scheduled calls with our SAM the first couple days post upgrade (she helped escalate tickets)
Post golive, our major issues were:
- 2 EBO system-down tickets (both ‘spontaneously resolved without intervention’ within 1-hour)
- CodeCorrect was down 7 days (discovered there is a bug in browser version - when you access the CodeCorrect configuration screen in browser, it clears the login settings. JIRA PE-52475)
- Messenger didn’t work consistently for the first couple of days (this mostly affected SMS)
- Outgoing faxes are blurry/pixelated (we’ve had this issue since October 2017…)
- Batch eligibility not running (This is still an issue specific to our 4 highest volume insurances)
- PMSchedulejob Dashboard doesn’t work (eCW recommends not using it at all. JIRA PE-32656)
- Failed faxes (‘spontaneously resolved without intervention’ within 24-hours)
- Able to delete a hard-closed adjustment in browser version (JIRA PE-39739)
- Beginning/Ending A/R don’t match (ticket is still pending)
- we set up to enable CAS codes to print on the patient statement but it doesn’t work (JIRA PE-51132)
Overall, we felt the upgrade went smoothly. We have gotten prompt responses/resolution to the majority of our tickets. We were disappointed (but not surprised) about some of the new features not working.
